Hibiscus Rosa-Sinesis

Properties:Hibiscus is native to the Nile Valley (Egypt & Sudan). The species used mostly for tea is  (hibiscus sabdariffa). The calyces often referred to as the flowers are the parts which are dried to make the rosy citrus flavored tea.

Medicinal effects: Hibiscus nis rich in vitamins A & C as well beta carotene which makes it a good antioxidant. It is very good for lowering blood pressure. Has remedial effects on Hypertension

Uses:
Meditation, awaken the subtle energies, peace, calm, divination, love and lust

Aroma:
A little harsh, slightly spicy, and somewhat like cooking tomatoes when burned

Hibiscus is often used in teas and smoking blends for its relaxing affect. This particular type of Hibiscus is said to be useful to awaken kundalini shakti at the muladhara chakra. These Hibiscus flowers come from Sudan.
